Our winemaker first fell in love with the wines from Alexander Valley’s acclaimed Ridgeline Vineyard years ago. A dramatic, highelevation hillside vineyard, Ridgeline is ideal both for Cabernet Sauvignon and for Tempranillo, which is why it was chosen as the source for this alluring Sonoma County Red Blend. Inspired by the iconic blends of Spain, this robust,full-bodied red combines the vivid violet and white pepper qualities of exceptional Tempranillo with the depth and richness of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Varietal Composition: 70% Tempranillo, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Notes
Bold and expressive, this Tempranillo-Cabernet Sauvignon blend opens with dark cherry, wild berry and spiced red fruit, layered with leather, bay leaf and crushed red rock. The palate is rich with red and black fruits, anise and vanilla, leading into the signature depth of Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of violet, dried herbs and firm minerality. A seamless balance of power and finesse build to evolve with every sip.
Production
The 2022 growing season began with some much-needed winter rain that provided moisture to the soils. A pleasant spring ushered an early budbreak, with some rapid cane development. In early May, there was an unusual cool spell which led to an extended bloom for our white varieties and early reds. Summer was consistent and provided prime growing conditions, with harvest beginning in mid-August. This was followed by an intense heat spell at the beginning of September that resulted in great concentration of flavors. After the heat subsided, temperatures cooled and harvest continued into early November, yielding grapes with rich, vibrant flavors and bright acidity.
