To craft this crisp and compelling Rosé, we focused on vineyards within the coolest parts of the Napa Valley, farming select blocks specifically to make this wine. To ensure refreshing acidity and vivid aromatics, we harvested this fruit earlier and aged it entirely in stainless steel. The result is a bone dry Rosé, with alluring red berry layers, as well as notes of citrus, stone fruit and minerality.
Beautifully fresh and alluring, this wine beckons with tantalizing aromas of white peach and wild strawberries, as well as hints of grapefruit, orange zest, wildflowers and minerality. On the palate a subtle undercurrent of creaminess adds poise and polish to the red berry and orchard fruit flavors, while carrying the wine to a long, zesty finish.
The 2021 growing season started with a very dry winter, with almost no rain in the month of February. Due to the lack of moisture, there were more frost events, which when combined with an extended period of bloom led to some shatter during cluster formation, resulting in smaller overall yields. Summer brought ideal temperate weather ensuring that the grapes were able to achieve excellent ripeness. While harvest was fairly compressed, with both white and red grapes coming into the winery at the same time, the quality of the fruit was exceptional, producing a stunning vintage of beautifully concentrated wines with deep, alluring colors.
