This limited-production bottling highlights the bramble, raspberry and spice of great Zinfandel combined with the vibrant red fruit of Merlot to create a rich, round wine with lush appeal.

57% Merlot, 41% Zinfandel, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Notes
The Merlot-driven aromas are bright and pure with beautiful notes of red cherry and violet. On the palate, flavors of ripe wild strawberry are accentuated by bright acidity and hints of oak-inspired cinnamon with excellent tannins adding structure and length.
Production
2012 offered near-perfect growing conditions. Warm weather during bloom allowed the vines to set a large crop with increased yields were the result of more berries, not larger berries. Slightly cooler-than-average post-veraison weather, and a lack of any heat events allowed for greatly extended hang time. Harvest was 2-3 weeks later than average, and the grapes arrived at the winery in pristine condition.
