Winemaker Notes
The nose offers classic Cabernet notes of vanilla and black tea with toasty hints of dark chocolate and tobacco leaf. Though firm on the entry, this wine is rich, ripe and weighty, with lingering flavors of raspberry jam, white pepper, caramel and black tea
Production
Due to a wet spring and long, mild growing season, the harvest began two weeks later than normal
A strong heat wave and late rains required us to be extra diligent during harvest, with a focus on fine-tuning and timely picking. As is often the case in milder years, our 2010 wines are marked by their elegance and balanced natural acidity—qualities we have worked to preserve in the winery
