Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Inviting aromas of sweet cherry and berry fruit are underscored by more complex elements of baking spices, fresh herbs, dried apricot and oak-inspired hints of cedar and vanilla. On the palate, this layered blend is soft and rich, with a refined structure, lovely balance and flavors of blueberry and dried cherry that carry through to a long finish with lingering notes
of sage, pepper and spice.
Vineyard Notes
Though the 2009 growing season presented certain challenges—from early shatter to late season
rain—a thoughtful response in the vineyards yielded smaller-than-normal crops of high-quality fruit. This response included aggressive leafing, an early thinning protocol and a heavy field sort to select only the most desirable grapes.
