90 Points - Wine Enthusiast! Fusing the robust flavors of California’s native Zinfandel with the grandeur of Cabernet Sauvignon, Paraduxx has embraced the best of both core varietals to produce a world-class blend with a decidedly Californian personality.

Wine Profile
Production Notes
Composition 63% Zinfandel, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot Aging & Oak 16 months in oak 75% French oak, 25% American oak 40% new
Winemaker Notes
The aromas are inviting and complex, with bright ripe raspberry and blackberry notes, deeper elements of molasses, nutmeg and caramel, and hints of vanilla, pepper and dried sage. On the palate, this wine is rich and mouthcoating with abundant blackberry jam, bramble and holiday spice flavors. The finish is long and lingering with subtle notes of vanilla, dried tobacco leaf, tarragon and chocolate-covered cherries
Production
Due to a wet spring and long, mild growing season, the harvest began two weeks later than normal. A strong heat wave and late rains required us to be extra diligent during harvest, with a focus on fine-tuning and timely picking. As is often the case in milder years, our 2010 wines are marked by their elegance and balanced natural acidity—qualities we have worked to preserve in the winery

I'm a big fan of the Duckhorn wines, so was curious about Paraduxx. I tried the 2010 Z blend and was pleased. One of my most critical features is the finish. So many wines drift or have none. This wine lingered long and strong and left me saying "yum." Will buy again.

Needs about a half hour to breath, extremely smooth grape.
