Label & Artist Series
2005 Paraduxx by Patrice Wolput
Each vintage, Paraduxx celebrates an artist-label series with a different artist's signature medium and style interpreted through a pair of ducks native to the Pacific Flyway. The 2005 Paraduxx label is the twelfth in this series. For this release, Canadian artist Patrice Wolput created an oil painting of a pair of Red Head ducks.
Patrice was born in Sabrevoix, an agricultural town some 50km from Montreal. Growing up on his parent's farm, he soon manifested a love of nature and a talent for drawing. After earning a degree in Fine Art at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Patrice explored a number of different avenues related to his art. He worked as a set designer for television and a scene painter for movies while continuing his work as a painter in his free time.
Eventually, Patrice's fascination with nature led him to devote himself entirely to wildlife painting. The intimate link between an animal and its habitat holds particular fascination for him and his heightened and intuitive sense of this is obvious in his work. The 2005 label artwork is available for purchase as a signed and numbered limited edition print, framed or unframed.
